Exploration in saxophonic phenomena following on from Saxploration.

... Forever • Effects • Modal Matador • Synco • Variable Blues • Those Changes

Forever : This ballad allows for interpretative rubato and decoration in the manner of a jazz performance.
Effects : Here we have an exploration of some "saxophonic" effects at a jaunty swing tempo.
Modal Matador : The sound quality of the modes derived from the major scale in the guise of a Tango.
Synco : Idiomatic latin rhythms combine with some chromatic chord changes here. The chord symbols in the piano part afford the pianist an opportunity to re voice the changes whilst keeping "in style".
Variable Blues : The variation element here is the departure from the more common I IV V chords of the 12 bar blues. Here we explore some of the substituted chords of the typical "West Coast" blues.
