Here are three original compositions based on 13th- century music found in the Worcester Fragments. They were commissioned for the top ten-piece brass of the music college where I teach. In my decision to be challenging and colourful I've added one or two elements (some optional) to surprise the audience. The players sit on rotating office stools, stamp their feet, sing, and the final piece becomes a riotous samba!
