John Hutchins

After graduating from the Royal Academy of Music with a first class honours degree John Hutchins began to specialise on the natural trumpet. He has played with some of Europe's finest Baroque ensembles including The Kings Consort, The Sixteen, and The Orchestra of the Age of the Enlightenment, Florilegium and the Hanover Band. John gave the first performance of a Biber Mass since the composer's death with the New York Collegium. He has recorded numerously both home and abroad. John also performs on the modern trumpet with orchestras such as the Philharmonia and the Royal Opera House.

Brass Coaching features highly in John's career encompassing various schools and local Youth Orchestras. The British Council invited John to coach the brass section of the National Symphony Orchestra of Vietnam.
