Eric Crees made this special arrangement of Herbert L. Clarke's playful Cousins, for his LSO colleagues Rod Franks and Ian Bousfield as soloists, in a London Symphony Orchestra Brass concert at the Barbican Centre Concert Hall London, on Friday
6 November 1998,
The concert was part of the 'Inventing America' series at the hall. The other works on the programme were Barber's Mutations from Bach, as well as Eric's transcriptions of Copland's El Salon México, Billy the Kid and Bernstein's Fancy Free.
The arrangement is designed to be playable by the standard brass dectet format, with the two soloists coming from within the group.
